Max stands before the final-boss door at last. But the Game-Over Fiend appears and sends him right back to the start -- over and over. Max is crushed.

Then the twist: the Fiend quietly confesses he has never beaten his OWN final boss either. The very same wall, the very same struggle. He'd just been lonely about it.

So the two practice together, cheering each other on, until -- finally -- they both break through. The thing that kept beating you isn't your enemy. Sometimes it's just someone stuck at the same wall.
