  • Mega CD changes the machine. The CD unit turns a Mega Drive into a different console entirely, and a boxed Mega Drive with a Mega CD 2 is far harder to find intact than either half on its own.
  • Box and completeness. A boxed set costs more than a loose console for the reason it always does: almost nobody kept the box.
