All PC Engine Games

A Word from the Curator

Welcome to the exhibit for a true powerhouse. The PC Engine may have been small in size, but it was a giant in performance. This console, a collaboration between Hudson Soft and NEC, brought near-perfect arcade conversions and stunning original titles to our homes with a speed and graphical fidelity that left the Famicom behind. From the revolutionary CD-ROM² add-on that ushered in an era of incredible soundtracks and animation, to its iconic mascot PC Genjin (Bonk), the PC Engine carved out a legendary status among hardcore gamers. This is a tribute to the little console that could.
