# Restoration Diary: Super Famicom Controller Button Refresh

**Symptoms:** Buttons felt sticky and sometimes failed to respond during gameplay.  
**What we did:**  
- Opened the controller carefully, removed the rubber pads  
- Cleaned conductive pads and PCB contacts with IPA and lint-free swabs  
- Wiped shell inside and out with a soft cloth  
- Reassembled and tested on a Super Famicom console  
**Parts used:** Isopropyl alcohol, lint-free swabs, microfiber cloth, small screwdriver  
**Result:** Buttons now respond crisply, no sticking or missed inputs.  
**Warranty note:** Rubber pads remain original but refreshed; long-term wear depends on use.
