The metal mounting plate and screws used to secure the Mega Drive 2 and Mega CD 2 are already attached to the Mega Drive console.
The spacer for the Mega CD 2 is not included.

What video outputs can I use?

The console outputs NTSC-J composite by default. With the Nintendo multi-out you can also use RGB or S-Video if your cable and display/upscaler support it (cables not included unless noted).

Will it work on a modern HDTV?

Many TVs still accept composite. For best results, use a compatible upscaler (e.g., RetroTINK/OSSC) with the correct cable for your setup.
