Used Nintendo Super Famicom Console System Boxed — Donkey Kong & Donkey Kong 2 (2-Game Set)
When the jungle drums start, the room shifts. The Super Famicom hums, barrels roll, and vines sway across the CRT glow. These games are more than platformers—they’re living rhythm, teaching balance, timing, and the joy of discovery. If you want energy for tomorrow, start here.
Why this bundle is special:
-
Boxed Super Famicom console with classic Nintendo design
-
Two legendary platformers: Donkey Kong Country (1994 JP) & Donkey Kong Country 2 (1995 JP)
-
Cleaned and gameplay-tested for reliable play
About the games:
Donkey Kong (1994 JP, “Super Donkey Kong”)
A leap into pre-rendered 3D sprites. Jungle canopies shimmer, barrels launch you skyward, and tag-team play keeps the rhythm alive. But here’s the kicker: the visuals were made on Silicon Graphics workstations—the same gear behind Jurassic Park. Hollywood computers in a farmhouse, squeezed into a Super Famicom cart.
It sold more than nine million copies worldwide, making it the late-era savior of the system. Nintendo of America even bragged that it was “a 32-bit game running on 16-bit hardware,” and magazines fell over themselves calling it a miracle. Kids at the time? They weren’t reading the specs—they were swapping secret route tips in classrooms, smuggling photocopied maps like contraband treasure.
Donkey Kong 2 (1995 JP, “Super Donkey Kong 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest”)
The sequel swung harder. Pirate ships, sharper controls, a sense that you weren’t just playing—you were starring in a Saturday adventure film. Rare developed it under tight secrecy in the English countryside; even Nintendo’s Kyoto office only saw near-finished builds.
It went on to sell around five million copies. Not as explosive as the first, but for a sequel, that’s legendary. The ads leaned into swashbuckling drama—pirates, storms, bold music—almost like a movie trailer. And in playgrounds, Dixie’s ponytail spin became a legend of its own. Girls especially claimed it as “their move,” and suddenly schoolyard drawings of Dixie started appearing in magazines and fan corners.
Why these two together:
Together they chart Rare’s transformation of a classic arcade ape into a full-fledged 16-bit epic. The first built the stage; the second raised the stakes. Nostalgia, rhythm, and discovery—two games that remind you why the 1990s felt endless.

What We Did Before This Ships
Every console we sell is opened up and serviced by hand.
We don't just confirm it powers on — we look inside.
- This unit was fully disassembled and cleaned internally; dust was removed from all components.
- All boards and electrical contacts were cleaned with ethanol and a fast-drying, residue-free electronics cleaner to remove oxidation and residue.
- Moving mechanical parts were lubricated with a light application of silicone grease for smooth, quiet operation. (We do not apply grease to electrical contacts — they are cleaned only.)
- Electrolytic capacitors are replaced only when there is visible corrosion or leakage — nothing more, nothing less. For console families known for capacitor failure, a full recap is performed as standard.
- If a console cannot be properly restored, we do not sell it.
- After reassembly, the unit is tested with an actual game: video, sound, and controller input are all confirmed.
- Before we seal the box, we power the console on one more time and confirm it is still working.
- Every console includes 30 days of support after it reaches you.
A note on power: this console uses Japan's 100V standard. Buyers in North America (120V) are advised to use a step-down transformer or a multi-voltage power supply; buyers in Europe (230V) will require a step-down transformer to use an original 100V adapter safely.
A note on region: This is a Japanese Super Famicom. Its cartridge slot accepts the rounded Japanese/PAL cartridge shape; North American SNES cartridges are physically taller and will not fit without modification. Japanese and PAL software share the same physical format, but use different region-lockout chips (CIC) and are not cross-compatible.
If anything here isn't covered, just ask — questions are always welcome.
