Why the Disk System? Because here is a chapter of history the West rarely saw. The Famicom Disk System is where The Legend of Zelda and Metroid were born — Nintendo experimenting boldly with rewritable disks. Build your own bundle and hold that daring moment in your hands. Every unit serviced by hand, the drive belt renewed with care. The spice: a true collector’s Famicom. — The shopkeeper, Enjoy Game Japan
Return to 1983: The Legend That Started It All
The Nintendo Famicom isn't just a console; it's the beginning of a story that captivated the world. It's the source of countless memories, of late nights spent with friends and family, and of the pixelated magic that defined a generation. Here, you have the chance to own a piece of that history, restored with passion and ready for new adventures.
Build Your Perfect Famicom Experience
This is more than just a product listing—it's your custom Famicom workshop. Choose the exact setup you need to relive the classics or start your collection.
Our Restoration & Testing Process
We are not just sellers; we are preservationists. Every console and peripheral undergoes a rigorous inspection and restoration process to ensure you receive a high-quality, reliable system.
Disk System Guaranteed: Every Famicom Disk System sold from our shop has been professionally serviced with a brand new, high-quality rubber drive belt. This crucial maintenance prevents the most common errors and ensures your disk games load smoothly for years to come.
Thoroughly Tested: All hardware is fully tested to confirm perfect working order.
Cleaned with Care: While showing authentic signs of its history (scuffs/scratches), each unit is carefully cleaned.
Reference Photos: Please note that the images are for sample and reference, but represent the general condition of the high-quality units we ship.
Choose Your Setup
► Famicom Console Only The perfect starting point for any collector.
► Famicom + Disk System Set The ultimate 8-bit experience, unlocking a massive library of classic games.
Includes: 1x Famicom Console, 1x Disk System (FDS-001), 1x RAM Adapter, 1x RF Cable
Optional Add-Ons
USB Power Cable (needed to switch the console on): No power cable comes with the console unless you add one here. Choose a cable for the Famicom, the Disk System, or both. Choose "Not Included" only if you already have a USB power cable that fits. Each cable plugs into a USB charger, like the one for your phone (the charger itself is not included).
Mystery Game Pack: Start playing the moment your console arrives! We will include a number of randomly selected, cartridge-only Famicom games. Perfect for instant fun or as a gift.
!! Important Note for International Buyers !!
This is a Japanese-spec console (NTSC-J). The power comes from USB power cables, so you do not need a step-down transformer, whatever the voltage in your country. Plug each cable into a USB charger.
🎮 Add a game — it travels in the same box as your console.
We’re shipping your Disk System anyway, so any game you add rides along in the same box. To Brazil, Chile, Argentina and Peru, the first game you add costs nothing extra to ship, and each one after it adds $3. Everywhere else, shipping is free once your order reaches $100. 📷 Please note: the photos are representative samples. As these are pre-owned vintage items, the exact unit you receive may vary slightly in cosmetic condition but will be in comparable, tested condition.
What You Will Actually Pay
Nothing appears later that is not listed here.
This listing — from $61.72 to $141.19, depending on the option you choose above.
Shipping — free above $100 to most countries. Any order of $100 or more that includes a console ships free; the higher options here clear that on their own. Below it, shipping from Japan is $19.00. One exception. Shipping to Brazil, Chile, Argentina and Peru is $49.99 on every order, because shipping to South America costs far more. The exact figure for your address appears at checkout, before you pay.
Import duties and taxes. Not included in the price and not collected at checkout — for every country, including the United States. Your country’s customs decides the amount, and the carrier will ask you to pay it before or at delivery. The carrier may also charge its own fee for handling customs. Rules differ by country and can change, so we can’t tell you the exact amount in advance. If a carrier ever presents a charge that looks wrong, send us the paperwork and we will look into it with you.
It leaves Japan within 1–3 business days of your payment, with a tracking number sent to you by email.
How long until it reaches you. We ship from Aichi, in central Japan, by UPS, or Japan Post for small parcels. Orders ship in 1–3 business days. After that, UPS usually takes 2–5 business days, and Japan Post usually takes 1–3 weeks — a typical time, not a guarantee, since a customs check can add days. Your tracking number lets you follow the parcel the whole way.
If it arrives damaged in transit, does not work, or is not as described, email us within 30 days of delivery with photos of the item and its packaging — it is covered by our 30-day warranty, and we pay the return shipping. If you simply change your mind, you can return it within 30 days of delivery; the return shipping is paid by you. We do not send return labels: we email you our return address and instructions.
TV (RF switch): the RF switch sends the picture over an analog channel, so it shows on TVs that can still receive analog (RF) broadcasts — older CRT sets, and flat-screen TVs that still have an analog tuner. It will not show on TVs in PAL countries such as the UK, Europe or Australia.
WHAT FAMICOM DISK SYSTEM BUYERS TOLD US
“Finally have the chance to talk about this. Packaging was very well done: the seller clearly cared about the console enough and I appreciate that. It came as described, so I'm very happy. Finally it shipped relatively quickly. Overall, I'm very happy. It works very well on a modern monitor and it is about what I expected from an older console. I enjoy the older, retro consoles. I also enjoyed was the little flyer that came with it. It's nice to see old game shops thriving in Japan.”— verified Famicom Disk System buyer, 2026-08-16
“The console arrived safely and in excellent time thanks to great packaging and shipping. It's exactly as described and looks great. Seller went out of their way to update me on shipping and show me the console working, and was all around incredibly kind and a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended!”— verified Famicom Disk System buyer, 2026-06-19
