Mario Bros. Nintendo Famicom Japan Import NTSC-J

Mario Bros. — Original Nintendo Famicom Cartridge (NTSC-J, Japan)

Where Mario became a plumber — and Luigi was born.

Before the mushrooms, before the warp pipes, there was this. Mario Bros. is where the world's most famous plumber actually became a plumber — battling turtles and crabs in the pipes beneath New York, flipping them from below and clearing them off the screen.

It also gave Mario something he never had before: a brother. Luigi debuts here, as player two, making this one of the great two-player couch classics — grab a friend, and it's every plumber for himself.

This is the original Japanese Famicom cartridge of the game that set the stage for Super Mario Bros. two years later. A true origin point for any Mario collection — cleaned and tested by hand in Japan.

1 × Mario Bros. (マリオブラザーズ) Famicom cartridge — loose (cartridge only, no box or manual).

Pre-owned, rated Good. The cartridge shows honest signs of age — some yellowing, light scuffs, scratches and surface dirt — exactly what you'd expect from a genuine early-1980s Famicom cartridge that has been enjoyed.

Every unit is cleaned and tested to power on and play correctly by our technicians in Japan before it ships. It works.

This is a Japanese NTSC-J cartridge. It runs on a Japanese Famicom (or an AV Famicom / compatible clone / region-free setup). It is not designed for an unmodified overseas NES. If you're unsure whether it will work with your setup, message us first — we're happy to help you get it right.
