The Story
Super Momotaro Dentetsu II

Hudson, 20 December 1991 — released days before the holidays, which is precisely when a board game earns its keep. Akira Sakuma built it and Takayuki Doi drew it, and between them they made a game about buying railway property that is still being made today, more than thirty years later. The second entry is where this series stopped being a curiosity and became a fixture.

— The shopkeeper, Enjoy Game Japan

Used. Tested and working. HuCARD only — the case and manual are not included. The card has scuffs and scratches from normal use.

Please check before you buy: this is an NTSC-J (Japanese region) HuCARD. It needs a Japanese PC Engine, or a system modified for region-free play, and it will not fit a North American TurboGrafx-16 without an adapter.

Used HuCARDs are never manufactured again — what is on the shelf is simply what survived. This one was cleaned and tested by hand here in Japan before it was listed. If you would like photos of this exact card before you buy, just send us a message and we will gladly send them.

📖 Curious about the PC Engine? I wrote its whole story — how it was born and what made it special — in our Museum. Read the story →

🎮 Prefer it ready to play, right out of the box? We also hand-pack tested PC Engine sets — a cleaned console, classic games and every cable you need, together at a friendlier price than buying it piece by piece. See the ready-to-play PC Engine bundles →

What You Will Actually Pay

Nothing appears later that is not listed here.

  • The item — $13.49. That is the price on this page.
  • Shipping from Japan — $10.50 to most countries, plus $3 for each additional game, accessory, book or CD. Ordered together with a console, it ships free once the order reaches $100; games and accessories ordered on their own are charged shipping, whatever the total. One exception. Shipping to Brazil, Chile, Argentina and Peru is $15.00, plus $3 for each additional item, on every order, because shipping to South America costs far more. The exact figure for your address appears at checkout, before you pay.
  • Import duties and taxes. Not included in the price and not collected at checkout — for every country, including the United States. Your country’s customs decides the amount, and the carrier will ask you to pay it before or at delivery. The carrier may also charge its own fee for handling customs. Rules differ by country and can change, so we can’t tell you the exact amount in advance. If a carrier ever presents a charge that looks wrong, send us the paperwork and we will look into it with you.

We have one of these. It is the unit in the photographs above — not a stock image, and not one of several.

It leaves Japan within 1–3 business days of your payment, with a tracking number sent to you by email.
