There was a time when this was science fiction you could hold. The PC Engine GT wasn’t just portable—it was a full home console in your hands, capable of running the same HuCARDs you used on your living room system. Pair it with the TV tuner, and you had Japan’s earliest glimpse of gaming-meets-media mobility.
About this unit
Used. Tested and working. Capacitors have been replaced, and the console has been fully serviced. The original box, instruction manual, Micro USB cable, AC adapter, and batteries are not included. Upgraded with an IPS LCD wide screen. The COM port has been customized to a Micro USB port.
The console shows scuffs and minor surface scratches from normal use. The screen has a few light surface scratches. To power on, set the BRIGHT switch on the side to the down position, then connect a Micro USB cable. Sound outputs through the headphone jack when earphones are connected. No sound will play unless earphones are connected. All buttons have been tested and work properly.

What We Did Before This Ships
Every console we sell is opened up and serviced by hand.
We don't just confirm it powers on — we look inside.
This unit was fully disassembled and cleaned internally; dust was removed from all components.
All boards and electrical contacts were cleaned with ethanol and a fast-drying, residue-free electronics cleaner to remove oxidation and residue.
Moving mechanical parts were lubricated with a light application of silicone grease for smooth, quiet operation. (We do not apply grease to electrical contacts — they are cleaned only.)
Electrolytic capacitors are replaced only when there is visible corrosion or leakage — nothing more, nothing less. For console families known for capacitor failure, a full recap is performed as standard.
If a console cannot be properly restored, we do not sell it.
After reassembly, the unit is tested with an actual game: video, sound, and controller input are all confirmed.
Before we seal the box, we power the console on one more time and confirm it is still working.
Every console includes 30 days of support after it reaches you.
A note on power: This is a battery-powered handheld and does not connect to household mains, so no voltage transformer is required. (Batteries are not included unless stated.)
A note on region: This is a Japanese PC Engine GT (TurboExpress in North America). For HuCards, Japanese PC Engine cards are not compatible with North American TurboGrafx-16 HuCards — the same reversed data bit wiring that affects the home console applies here. Only Japanese PC Engine HuCards will play natively on this unit.
