The Story
High Grenadier

Telenet Japan spent the 1980s making strategy games for Japanese home computers, and when the consoles caught up they walked straight across. High Grenadier, April 1991, is what they brought: six commanders, mecha units, a battlefield drawn as dots joined by lines, and fights that resolve themselves once you have chosen to attack, defend or retreat. Telenet closed its doors in 2007 and that looked like the end of it. Then in 2025 somebody went back for it — the game was picked for a Telenet revival collection on modern hardware, thirty-four years late. Nothing made with care is ever really finished with.
