The Story
Master of Monsters
Before it was a console game it lived on Japanese home computers — SystemSoft built it in 1988 for MSX and the PC-8801, the same studio behind the Daisenryaku war games. Five wizards, hex maps, and monsters you summon rather than recruit: dragons, phoenixes, whatever your wizard is able to call. Micro Cabin brought it to PC Engine CD on 15 February 1991, early enough that its product code, MCCD0002, tells you how few CD titles existed yet. The extra space went to the music, written by Hayato Matsuo. A turn-based game asks for the one thing modern life will not give you: your full attention, for as long as it takes.
— The shopkeeper, Enjoy Game Japan
What's included: CD-ROM disc, case and instruction manual. No spine card.
Condition Used. Tested. Working. Works only in NTSC-J format. Case is scuffed and scratched. CD-ROM is standard used. Instruction manual has scuffs, a few small tears, and corner wear. No spine card.
Please check before you buy: This is an NTSC-J (Japanese) PC Engine CD-ROM² title. It needs a Japanese PC Engine with the CD-ROM² attachment (or a Duo), and it will not run on a North American TurboGrafx without modification.
