You can change the system menu display language by switching the region setting. The menu will show in Japanese for NTSC-J games. It will show in English for NTSC-U/C games. The language for games themselves depends on each specific game title.

IMPORTANT – Voltage Warning: 100V Only

This GameCube console works only with a 100V power supply. This is the Japanese domestic standard.

Do NOT plug this console directly into any power outlet outside of Japan. If you use a different voltage (such as 120V, 220V, or 240V), it will cause electrical problems. This may permanently damage the console.

You will need a step-down voltage converter. This converter must change your local voltage to 100V. You need this converter no matter what your country's power standard is.
