The system menu display language changes based on the region setting. It shows Japanese for NTSC-J. It shows English for NTSC-U/C. The language within games depends on each specific game title.
IMPORTANT – Voltage Warning: 100V Only
This GameCube console uses 100V power. This is the Japanese standard.
Do NOT plug this console directly into an outlet outside of Japan.
If you use a different voltage (like 120V, 220V, or 240V), it will cause electrical problems. It may permanently damage the console.
A step-down voltage converter is required. This converter changes your local voltage to 100V. You need this converter no matter your country's power standard.
Each item has been carefully cleaned and maintained by our technicians in Japan.

What We Did Before This Ships

Every console we sell is opened up and serviced by hand.
We don't just confirm it powers on — we look inside.

• This unit was fully disassembled and cleaned internally; dust was removed from all components.
• All boards and electrical contacts were cleaned with ethanol and a fast-drying, residue-free electronics cleaner to remove oxidation and residue.
• Moving mechanical parts were lubricated with a light application of silicone grease for smooth, quiet operation. (We do not apply grease to electrical contacts — they are cleaned only.)
• Electrolytic capacitors are replaced only when there is visible corrosion or leakage — nothing more, nothing less. For console families known for capacitor failure, a full recap is performed as standard.
• If a console cannot be properly restored, we do not sell it.
• After reassembly, the unit is tested with an actual game: video, sound, and controller input are all confirmed.
• Before we seal the box, we power the console on one more time and confirm it is still working.
• Every console includes 30 days of support after it reaches you.

A note on power: this console uses Japan's 100V standard. Buyers in North America (120V) are advised to use a step-down transformer or a multi-voltage power supply; buyers in Europe (230V) will require a step-down transformer to use an original 100V adapter safely.

A note on region: This is a Japanese Nintendo GameCube. The console's IPL ROM enforces a regional restriction — North American and PAL discs will not boot on this unit without a hardware modification or a third-party bypass disc (such as Datel FreeLoader).

• Shipping — free to most countries. We ship free on orders of $100 or more, and this is already above that. Two exceptions. Shipping to the United States is $19.90 on every order, because a customs clearance fee is charged when the parcel enters the US. Shipping to Brazil, Chile and Argentina is $49.99 on every order, because shipping to South America costs far more. The exact figure for your address appears at checkout, before you pay.
• Import duties and taxes. For orders to the United States, we collect them at checkout and pay them for you, so most parcels arrive with nothing further to pay. Everywhere else — including the UK, the EU and the rest of the world — we are not registered to collect your country’s import tax, so it is charged separately when the parcel arrives, together with any handling fee your carrier adds. Rules differ by country and can change, so please check your own customs guidance before you buy. If a carrier ever presents a charge that looks wrong, send us the paperwork and we will look into it with you.

It leaves Japan within 1–3 business days of your payment, with a tracking number sent to you by email.

How long until it reaches you. We ship from Aichi, in central Japan. Orders to the United States go by FedEx and usually arrive in about a week — a typical time, not a guarantee, since a customs check can add days. For other countries the time depends on the destination and its customs. Your tracking number lets you follow the parcel the whole way.
