Used. Tested and working properly. Reads game discs normally. Compatible with NTSC-J (Japan) and NTSC-U/C (North America) games. Not compatible with PAL-region titles. The serial number on the console does not match the serial number printed in the instruction manual.

The console shows scuffs and minor scratches from normal use. The nameplate also shows scuffs. The internal battery has not been replaced. The Game Boy Player and controller show scuffs and minor scratches.

Includes the Game Boy Player Start-up Disc (with case and instruction manual), official power adapter, official cable, the console instruction manual, three additional paperwork inserts, and the Nintendo GameCube e-Catalog Disc (disc only; no manual or paper sleeve/case).

The box shows wear such as scuffs, corner wear, scratches, some dents, and creases. The inner cardboard divider insert (internal packaging part) is included, but has some partial tears.

Note: Using the switch, the system menu changes by region setting: NTSC-J displays Japanese, and NTSC-U/C displays English. In-game language depends on each game title. The Game Boy Player Start-up Disc must match the console’s region to boot. Once booted, the Game Boy Player can play Game Boy / Game Boy Color / Game Boy Advance cartridges from any region.

  • This unit was fully disassembled and cleaned internally; dust was removed from all components.
  • All boards and electrical contacts were cleaned with ethanol and a fast-drying, residue-free electronics cleaner to remove oxidation and residue.
  • Moving mechanical parts were lubricated with a light application of silicone grease for smooth, quiet operation. (We do not apply grease to electrical contacts — they are cleaned only.)
  • Electrolytic capacitors are replaced only when there is visible corrosion or leakage — nothing more, nothing less. For console families known for capacitor failure, a full recap is performed as standard.
  • If a console cannot be properly restored, we do not sell it.
  • After reassembly, the unit is tested with an actual game: video, sound, and controller input are all confirmed.
  • Before we seal the box, we power the console on one more time and confirm it is still working.
  • Every console includes 30 days of support after it reaches you.

A note on power: this console uses Japan's 100V standard. Buyers in North America (120V) are advised to use a step-down transformer or a multi-voltage power supply; buyers in Europe (230V) will require a step-down transformer to use an original 100V adapter safely.

A note on region: This is a Japanese Nintendo GameCube. The console's IPL ROM enforces a regional restriction — North American and PAL discs will not boot on this unit without a hardware modification or a third-party bypass disc (such as Datel FreeLoader).
