Before “compatibility” became a buzzword, Sharp and Nintendo already made it real. The Twin Famicom combined the Family Computer and Disk System into one beautifully unified console—both elegant and practical.
This boxed AN-500B model has been tested and confirmed fully working, and the rubber drive belt has been replaced with a brand-new Japan-made belt to ensure smooth and reliable disk loading.
About this unit
Used. Tested and working. Rubber drive belt (made in Japan) has been newly replaced. Instruction manual and warranty card are not included.
The console shows scuffs and scratches. The controllers are in good condition and do not have a turbo (auto-fire) function. Includes a magnetic protective sheet. Includes official power adapter and official cables. Includes a styrofoam protective insert. The box shows wear such as scuffs, corner wear, scratches, small tears, stains/marks, tape residue, and creases.
This unit combines the functions of Nintendo’s original Family Computer and the Disk System, and is a video-output compatible system that can play both ROM cartridges and Disk System cards.
Our Twin Famicom units have been fitted with brand-new, Japan-made belts, so you can start playing Disk System games right away. Because many Disk System units fail to read disks due to aged or stretched belts, we recommend choosing a unit with a replaced belt as a reliable option.

What We Did Before This Ships
Every console we sell is opened up and serviced by hand.
We don't just confirm it powers on — we look inside.
This unit was fully disassembled and cleaned internally; dust was removed from all components.
All boards and electrical contacts were cleaned with ethanol and a fast-drying, residue-free electronics cleaner to remove oxidation and residue.
Moving mechanical parts were lubricated with a light application of silicone grease for smooth, quiet operation. (We do not apply grease to electrical contacts — they are cleaned only.)
Electrolytic capacitors are replaced only when there is visible corrosion or leakage — nothing more, nothing less. For console families known for capacitor failure, a full recap is performed as standard.
If a console cannot be properly restored, we do not sell it.
After reassembly, the unit is tested with an actual game: video, sound, and controller input are all confirmed.
Before we seal the box, we power the console on one more time and confirm it is still working.

A note on power: this console uses Japan's 100V standard. Buyers in North America (120V) are advised to use a step-down transformer or a multi-voltage power supply; buyers in Europe (230V) will require a step-down transformer to use an original 100V adapter safely.
A note on region: This is a Japanese Sharp Twin Famicom. It combines the Famicom and the Famicom Disk System in one unit, and accepts all standard Famicom cartridges and Disk System titles. North American NES cartridges (72-pin) are not compatible without an adapter, as the Twin Famicom uses the same 60-pin connector as the original Famicom.
