When that deep, rugged voice boomed from the CRT, a new king was crowned in our gaming history. Its name was NEO GEO.
Promising to bring “the exact arcade experience into your home,” it was a dream so bold and romantic that SNK actually made it real.
The cartridges were massive—too big for a child to hold in one hand—and so expensive that you’d have to save years of allowance just to buy one.
(How fortunate we are to live in a time when we can offer them together in a set like this.)
This particular unit carries a small “hidden command” of its own.
Our in-house technician—licensed as a Certified Electrical Engineer—has carefully installed a socket for easy BIOS swapping and fitted it with a UNIBIOS.
You can freely switch BIOS modes, yet the original ROM is also included, preserving the authentic experience.
It’s our way of balancing respect for the past with playful possibilities for the future.

What We Did Before This Ships
Every console we sell is opened up and serviced by hand.
We don't just confirm it powers on — we look inside.
- This unit was fully disassembled and cleaned internally; dust was removed from all components.
- All boards and electrical contacts were cleaned with ethanol and a fast-drying, residue-free electronics cleaner to remove oxidation and residue.
- Moving mechanical parts were lubricated with a light application of silicone grease for smooth, quiet operation. (We do not apply grease to electrical contacts — they are cleaned only.)
- Electrolytic capacitors are replaced only when there is visible corrosion or leakage — nothing more, nothing less. For console families known for capacitor failure, a full recap is performed as standard.
- If a console cannot be properly restored, we do not sell it.
- After reassembly, the unit is tested with an actual game: video, sound, and controller input are all confirmed.
- Before we seal the box, we power the console on one more time and confirm it is still working.
- Every console includes 30 days of support after it reaches you.
A note on power: this console uses Japan's 100V standard. Buyers in North America (120V) are advised to use a step-down transformer or a multi-voltage power supply; buyers in Europe (230V) will require a step-down transformer to use an original 100V adapter safely.
A note on region: This is a Japanese Neo Geo AES. The cartridges themselves carry the same ROM regardless of region — a Japanese AES cartridge will run on a North American AES console and vice versa. The console's BIOS determines the display language (Japanese text on Japanese units, English on North American units), but there is no hardware or software block preventing cross-region cartridge play.
