The Family Computer Disk System is a peripheral for the Family Computer, released by Nintendo on February 21, 1986. It allows users to play games by reading software written on special disk media called "disk cards."

The set includes the main unit of the disk system (HVC-022), which reads the disk, and the RAM adapter (HVC-023), which supplies software information to the main unit of the Family Computer. The system is connected to a Family Computer or AV-spec Family Computer to form a system. It runs on an AC adapter (sold separately) or six AA batteries.
